The following short shories are abstracts from a novel I once intended to write. I´m not sure if the novel will ever be finished. So at least I want to share those abstracts. They´re written in German, my native language.
The protagonist in the novel deals with several topics: New experiences, self-discovery, music, finance and travels.
The abstracts “Der Eisbär” and “Der Goldene Schnatz” deal with personal doubts while the protagonist is sitting in the university lecture.
“Guy” is an introduction into the magic of a new start. In addition, it offers an overview of four different types of communication partners.
The abstracts “With the lights out” and “Noch eine Zigarette” share the protagonist´s keen power of observation while smoking cigarettes on his balcony during midnight.
In “Ashton” the protagonist recognizes that he feels attracted by a woman he sees in a café while spending several weeks on Bali. The abstract emphasizes the protagonist´s “carousel of thoughts” in terms of speaking to her or not.
In the abstract “Im Hinterhof” the protagonist is confronted with a situation which rises fear and a strong feeling of insecurity after arriving at the central station of a city with millions of inhabitants.
“Sucht” shares the protagonist´s self-reflection in terms of consuming cigarettes and alcohol.
In “Her mit der Kohle” the protagonist compares his own job with someone who works as a translator.
